365 Days of Growth: Learning How to Rise

Some years teach you. Some years test you. This year did both.
The last 365 days were H.A.R.D. They pushed me as a professional, a wife, a mom, and a person. There were long hours, long days, hard conversations, big decisions, and moments when I had to dig deeper than I thought I could.
But there were also victories. Real ones.

The kind that reminded me why I started. The kind that helped me rebuild confidence. The kind that showed me I could not only keep going, but rise.
This year taught me resilience. Not the polished kind, but the real kind. The kind that shows up when you are tired, stretched, and still responsible for showing up for your work, your family, your clients, and yourself.
It taught me toughness. It taught me to trust myself. It taught me that I do not need every answer right away to keep moving forward.
It also taught me that “work-life balance” may be too neat for real life. Some seasons are balanced. Some seasons are survival. Some seasons are full of momentum. Some require grace, flexibility, and a very strong cup of coffee.

Or a McDonald’s Diet Coke (IYKYK).
Or a glass of wine.
Or all three, depending on the day.
This journey has changed me. It is still changing me.
I am stronger than I was a year ago. Clearer. More grounded. More aware of what matters and what does not. I have learned to regain control where I can, over my mindset, my priorities, my boundaries, and how I respond when things feel heavy.
I have also learned to appreciate the small moments.
The extra hug before daycare. The laugh that breaks the tension. The encouraging text.
The opportunity to have a lunch date with my husband on a weekday. The reminder that even in hard seasons, there is still joy if you are paying attention.
To everyone who encouraged me this year, thank you.

To those who pushed me, challenged me, supported me, referred me, hired me, listened, bought me coffee, shared a glass of wine, or reminded me I was capable when I needed to hear it, thank you. To my husband, who said countless times, "I'm proud of you." Thank you.
You helped me keep going.
I am proud of where Curtis Concepts is and proud of the opportunities ahead. I am proud of the work. I am proud of the victories, especially the ones that came after the hardest days.
Most of all, I am proud that I kept rising.
Here’s to the next 365 days. More growth. More clarity. More courage. More small moments.
And probably more coffee (and Diet Coke).
